How to Dress in a Popular Way

You have those so last year clothes that only the geeks wear now. What do you do?

Start learning about the coolest trends, and find out what the popular girls at your school wear.

If you have money, shop at Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Abercrombie Kids, and the Victoria's Secret PINK line.

Get a designer handbag. Get it in white or tan, so it goes with every outfit.

Don’t over-accessorize, show off your natural beauty. For example, small earrings do not go overboard with makeup, colorful but not too flashy jewelry.

Get at least one pair of good earrings, preferably pearls or diamonds.

If you can't afford this stuff, shop at Gap, Old-navy, or Target. Plato's Closet, TJ Maxx, Ross, Kohls and Marshall's have designer clothes for very low prices!

Make your hair appear straight, or very neatly wavy or curly in a cute way.

Own at least one cool hat, and a bunch of headbands.

Wear low-cut socks, white unless you are wearing dark shoes that show your socks a lot. NEVER WEAR SOCKS WITH SANDALS!! This is a mistake made by many people. It is unfashionable!

Tips

• Try not to wear the same clothes every year. Update your wardrobe at least once a year. Try recycling and renewing your old clothes. The holes in jeans or cutoffs are a cute style, as long as it is done correctly, and not over excessive.
• If your parents don't let you go shopping a lot and don't have many chances to buy new clothes, ask if you can just go accessories shopping instead. It's a lot cheaper, and there's so many things you can buy--earrings, necklaces, headbands, purses, makeup--that can make a huge difference in the way you look!

Warnings

• Do not wear too much jewelry, or coat your face in Make-up.
• If you can't balance very well, don’t wear high heels. Trust me; a bulky cast is not very appealing.
